Welcome to the “German and Polish Energy Efficiency Project”
The GPEE project (German Polish Energy Efficiency Project) fosters energy efficiency in buildings as a means to contribute to climate protection in German and Polish Cities. The focus of the project is to develop a facade technology for "zero-emission buildings".
GPEE is running from March 2013 until March 2016 and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and the polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The binational project consortium consists of German and Polish academic and industrial partners.
After an intense simulation period at the beginning of the project, experimental facades will be implemented at the campus of the Technical University of Lodz in the year 2014. The period of data analysis which is gained by the experimental facades installation will end in February 2016. However, the long-term observation will carry on beyond the project lifetime.
Additionally, the general building conditions in Poland and Germany will be analyzed with the help of the Energy Efficiency Map Tool.
